Following a recent presentation at a Kemptville Rotary Club meeting it was decided by the Directors and approved by the Club to use their International program funds to sponsor a child at risk…. to live, learn and thrive at the Chausy Orphanage. The sponsorship will benefit a child in the 2014/2015 school term.  The cheque was presented to Dave Shaw (right) by Incoming President Donovan Arnaud (left) and President Jill Armstrong.   In 2011 the government of Belarus passed a decree to return children from orphanages to parents or relatives regardless of living conditions, abusive circumstances or neglect.  CAC negotiated a program that would allow us to rescue children in difficult situations and return them to live and study in the safe and caring environment of the Chausy Orphanage. Unfortunately there are many of these situations brought to our attention and this donation will allow us to rescue one more child!  Thank you Kemptville Rotarians for making a difference!
